It was Chinese New Year in January and tradition is for parents to give their children red envelopes with money in them that signified good luck the coming year.
Children needs to say a few phrases and good wishes to the elders and then we get the "red envelopes". My brother always go first then me the younger one. When I'm done, I saw my Mom's hand still has a red envelope. I was curious and asked why she had an extra one? She said this is for Porsche. He's a part of our family now. ^_^
